“We have two labradoodles that Susan has worked with for over 4 years now. She has provided wonderful care for them through day training with each other and also with other dogs. Luna has been able to overcome anxiety issues through Susan’s training and her recommended wholistic approach to help Luna rather than using prescription medications. Our other dog, Riker, has seen significant improvement overcoming high social anxiety and shyness around other people and dogs. They have both learned lots of tricks as well, and absolutely love their time with Susan! The Play and Stay service offered has also been a favorite for Luna and Riker. They get to interact with other dogs in a home environment and are not kept in a stressful kennel during overnight stays. We never worry about the care and safety of our dogs when they are in Susan’s hands. Their love for her is evident every time they see her, and we are very thankful to have her care for our dogs.”

“Susan Krieg has been our dog trainer for over 3 years. We have a Miniature Pincher who is a little older than 2 years old that first started working with Susan when she was a small puppy. My husband and I have only loved and lived with cats up until this point in our history and we were in need of help with a puppy. We were very impressed with Susan’s calm, happy go lucky and sound professional advice. So much so, that for the next year, we brought our darling “Ripley” (our puppy) in 3 days a week for day school. I would drop my pup off in the morning at Care First Animal Hospital and pick her up in the late afternoon hours. Ripley was taken care of by Susan all day long. At the time, we were very frustrated with house breaking challenges, and basic manners. Susan was a life saver! She helped our puppy learn to become social, well-mannered and potty trained. Religiously for 2 years we were loyal clients of Care First Animal Hospital because of Susan! Ripley is like a child to us and we knew that we could trust our “baby” with the hospital because of Susan.
I always looked forward to the written reports that Susan typed up each day. She wrote detailed narratives of Ripley’s training and socialization and gave us homework to practice at home. I was very impressed that Susan always went out of her way to “connect” with all her clients—even on her busiest days; she made a point to spend face time with me when I picked my dog up. On some occasions, there would be 3 or so of us picking our dogs up, all at the same time. Susan went out of her way to say hello to all of us and share professional words of encouragement that were individual to our own dogs even in the midst of a busy, hectic lobby atmosphere. And she did it all with a smile on her face!
Ripley loved coming to see Susan and hated to leave her—a bit of an embarrassment on our part—but then again she was always giving out lots of positive rewards and treats for a job well done. She was jokingly named the “puppy nanny”. Ripley loved coming to day school so much, that even after her puppy training time was over, we continued to bring her in every Monday to “see Ms. Susan” for tricks and Canine Good Citizens training skills, simply because Ripley enjoyed it so much.
Susan never hesitated to call or text me during the day if she had any concerns for Ripley. Her communication skills are superb. I love knowing that another adult cares so much about my beloved dog.
My husband and I thought so highly of Susan that we asked her if we could formally put her in our last Will and Testament—that Ripley would go to her home should anything happen to us.
Susan Krieg is an awesome dog trainer who understands canine behavior and is a master at communicating with their humans! I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a professional trainer whether it is puppy training, basic manners, or complex canine behavioral support. She does it all so well!”

“‘Stop barking!’ Those were the most common words I said to my dog until I met Susan Krieg five years ago. I adopted a two-hear old, five pound Papillion after I retired. He loved me instantly and I loved him. However, he barked at everyone he saw and when another dog was in sight he barked and pulled on the leash. I named him Beau Brummel. He is so cute that people always wanted to interact with him. He was standoffish and barking at them constantly, especially when they moved. I wanted a smaller dog in order to take him with me but I couldn’t do that as he was always creating a commotion. Why is he so aggressive with people and dogs and so loving with me? I asked myself that question over and over.
When I met Susan I asked if Beau could be ‘cured of being aggressive.’ I loved him and wanted to take him with me everywhere. She watched him awhile and then said ,’He is not being aggressive; he is fearful.’ What a revelation to me. She told me she could help him but it would take time, patience, and practice. She worked with him and me and within a year, he had earned a canine good citizenship certificate (with a lot of work and problem solving on her part). Today, he loves people, but is still leery of dogs sometimes. Beau still sees Susan twice a month, not because he needs training, but he loves her and it brings him joy! Today, the quality of Beau’s life, my life, and our lives together is so much improved, I cannot thank Susan enough. Beau loves his life because Susan taught him to trust people and enjoy being around them. When he meets people, he is taught to say ‘Hi’ by licking a person’s hand. I like to entertain and Beau enjoys it, too. Small group or large, he handles the noise, people coming and going, and interacting with him. Susan helped my dog enjoy his life and helped me enjoy him.”

“Susan Krieg has been amazing to work with for the past 20 months. I have been taking private lessons with her to get my adolescent dog trained as a mobility assistance service dog. My dog now goes with me everywhere and is a huge help to me out in public as well as in my home. I don’t know what I would do without these life saving skills that Susan has trained my dog to do. She has learned to set off an emergency alarm as well as wheelchair service dog tasks. I was diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia and desperately needed Susan’s help.”

“Susan and Paws4Peace have been great. Having Susan teach us the theory behind the training techniques is terrific and helps us the process. We completed puppy class with Patches and are now thoroughly enjoying puppy agility. Both wonderful classes that are also helping with socialization. We highly recommend Paws4Peace.”

“Taking Rusty in as a stray, I didn’t know what to expect. He was a little rough around the edges and I wasn’t sure we’d find him a home. Thanks to your positive reinforcement training, Rusty and I have become good friends. He has been living in the house spending time in his crate as well as having freedom to wander in the house. Rusty has made tremendous progress. Thank you for helping me begin Rusty’s journey into a new life. Rusty has a forever home with me and Annie.”

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the work Susan has done with Dre, our sweet, but misunderstood Pitbull. After multiple attempts at training, Susan has been the only person who could get through to Dre. Before training with Susan, Dre was so anxious around humans and other dogs that he hardly left the house. Now, he is able to go out on walks and car rides all the time! Susan’s training takes into account the reasoning behind a dog’s behavior. By addressing his anxiety, Susan and Dre had an important bond and he gained confidence through her rewarding his good behavior. Not only is Susan a great trainer for dogs, she instructs how you need to behave as a dog parent in reference to your dog’s personality. By knowing about the behavior of an anxious dog, I know what situations make Dre uncomfortable and I am able to avoid them and keep him and other dogs and humans safe. Dre has made a tremendous amount of progress since starting work with Susan!”

“Susan is an amazing dog trainer. She helped us train our rescue pup and she was great with us, teaching us how to work with her. She now knows tricks and will walk nicely on a leash. She still comes by weekly to work with her. We love Susan!”

“Susan Krieg of Paws 4 Peace USA has a magic touch when it comes to dogs! My two little furry ones each had very challenging, but quite different, issues. Susan was able to work each dog independently (and together) to resolve fear, fear aggression, obedience issues, and several other potentially serious behavioral problems. Neither dog is perfect! But they are so much better behaved, and most important – they are happy dogs!! With Susan’s guidance and special way of training, developed for each dog’s needs, we can now see the cute personalities and joyous expressions in both of them every day! ‘Miracle Worker’ is an accurate description of Susan and her methods. Whatever she does – it just WORKS!!”

“The training by Susan Krieg not only changes the lives of the dogs, but also their humans.”

“Susan is a great dog trainer! Our dog, Sparky has fear aggression that we think is probably a result of abandonment as a young puppy. Susan has been working with him for almost a year and he is so much better than when we first adopted him. He trains with Susan twice a week, has been in her puppy class and two agility classes which really helps with socialization and is so much fun! We still have a ways to go but with Susan’s training and guidance, Sparky has gone from a dog that we did not think could be rehabilitated to one who is a beloved member of our family. Sparky loves Susan and trusts her completely. So do we!”

“Susan Krieg is the greatest dog trainer I have had the pleasure of working with and been taught by. Since I first got my puppy she has helped me with her puppy socialization classes along with agility which my dog loved. She is always able to help me if I have any questions or concerns about my dog. I also recently talked to her about how I can work with my dog who is somewhat reactive to strangers, and she recommended getting a face harness which I was able to purchase from her and she taught me exactly how to get my dog used to it and in under a week my dog has already improved. Comfortable wearing it, no longer pulling, I am able to get her attention right away if she tries to react, which makes walks much less stressful. Over all very impressed with how much she knows and how amazing the results of her work are.”

“Susan has only been working with our dog for a very short time and he has made great progress! He went from stealing food off the table, to laying on his mat the entire time we eat. This only took about two weeks! He is excited to see her and they are having great training adventures together. Highly recommend!”
~Meredith Watkins Womble
“Susan came to our house and spent over 2 hours watching and listening to issues with our new pup. She gave us exercises and goals to work towards, after a few days of practice I could see a marked improvement in my dog. I’m excited for his future now!”
~Debbie Frank
“Susan has an amazing way with dogs. Emmy, my rat terrier, attended puppy training and also agility training. Both classes were great. We enjoyed the interaction with other participants, some one-on-one time (puppy stage), and I learned how to better interact with my dog. Well worth my time, energy, and money.”

“Susan is amazing! We had our pup in her class and she is so well behaved now. We have kept Daisy training in a small group with Susan one day a week. She comes home tired and happy! We even have sent Daisy to day camp with Susan as well. Definitely recommend Susan for puppy classes, training, and even just general information about dogs. She knows it all!”
